The benefits of Upgrading

• Having a Gold account gives you access to options that make your company larger, more customized, or easier to run.
• More properties. Standard accounts are limited to 50 buildings total, which then can be expanded to increase your capacity. With a Gold account, that limit is expanded to 80 lands. That allows more versatility both in what you choose to make, and in which ones you choose to keep open vs expanding.
• More storage in the warehouse. A standard account can hold 80 different listings in each warehouse. (Each product, quality appeal, or brand is a separate listing.) This can be limiting for a large company, because you can't keep as much variety on hand. Gold accounts have that limit expanded to 120 slots per warehouse.
• Rename your Brands. A Gold account is given the option to create their own name for any of the products they sell. The name can be anything that doesn't violate the Game Rules or Terms of Use. That name will then be seen wherever your products go.
• Rename your Buildings. Gold accounts may also give a name to any of their buildings. This will only be seen by you, but can help to give a better sense of identity, or to help you keep them organized.
• Customize your Headquarters page. Every company has a Headquarters that is visible to other players. It gives a representation of your company, displaying your Level, all the Awards you have earned, and other facts. If you have a Gold account, you can enter a personalized message on this screen as well. This is sometimes helpful for letting people know what business lines you are in and what you buying or selling. Gold accounts may enter / modify this message on the Options page (from the Office).
• A Reference Notepad. Available on every page is a Notepad used for quick reference and visible on every page. It has a limit of 250 characters.
• Multi-building control and Future Action. With a Gold account, each of your building listings will get new control options enabling you to start all of them at the same time. This reduces the work involved for running a big business and lets you focus on high-level management.
  
  Additionally, these controls allow you to set the next action the building will take. By leaving instructions for your buildings to follow, you guarantee that they will always be busy even if you're not around when they finish. More detail about these controls is included below.
• Removal of banners. Simunomics uses advertising banners to defray the cost of hosting. By upgrading to Gold you are supporting us directly, allowing us not only to continue hosting but also to grow our services. As a thank you, we remove the advertising banners for Gold accounts.
• Trade with Family / Roommates. Unfortunately, some people may be tempted to cheat by taking advantage of our free accounts, and running multiple businesses that unfairly benefit each other. Therefore we have to insist on one account per person. Therefore if two people from the same home both want to play Simunomics, we can't allow them to trade with each other because it looks like one person to us. However, if both accounts upgrade to Gold, then trades on the same IP address are allowed - provided the trades remain fair, of course.

Gold and Platinum

• Gold Level boosts Land Slots from 50 to 80. Upgrading to Platinum increases this to 100.
• Gold Level boosts Warehouse Slots from 80 to 120. Upgrading to Platinum increases this to 150.
• In addition to all the Gold features, Platinum users will have access to a Platinum Overview screen, which allows them to see the status of all properties at once. Additionally they can view a Warehouse Report that shows the count of each product in all warehouses.

Multi-building control and setting Future Actions

• The multi-building control allows you to start all of your buildings at the same time, rather than loading each one separately. You may even make different choices for each building, and lock them all in with one click.
• The same tool that starts all of your buildings can also be used to assign them their next action. If a building is sitting idle, the instructions you give will be carried out immediately. If the buildings is busy, that task will be remembered for when the current job finishes.
• Using this tool allows you to act like a high-level manager. You still have to tell all your buildings what to do, and they will stop if you stop giving instructions. However, you no longer have to individually instruct buildings. And if you can't be online when the actions stop, your workers will remain busy as long as you've set the next action.
• This tool only sets one action ahead. It will not repeat forever, and the instructions will clear once they are carried out.
• If the instructions are impossible (e.g. too expensive or you don't have enough supplies) then nothing will happen. This is checked when the instructions are carried out, not when you give them. So make sure you always have supplies handy.
• The controls for each building type can be seen below:

Farms and Factories

• This is an image of the Gold controls for Farm listings, but Factories work the same way. Each property has a drop-down box that you can select.
  • Produce - this will produce (grow or manufacture) the selected product. For ease of use it always works by hours. You put how many hours you want (partial hours are ok, like 1.5 for one and a half) and the system will calculate how many to produce.
  • Expand - To expand a farm or factory, select it and then enter many feet. Remember that expansions must be in 100 ft² increments. The materials (Bricks, Glass, Pipes, and Wood) will be taken automatically, starting with the lowest quality.
  • Upgrade - Upgrades require you to set the new Conditions/Machinery/Training level. This is the level you want the building's upgrades to be, not how many levels you want added. (So for example, if the current Upgrade was 2 points, and you wanted to go to 5, you would put "5.") As always, the maximum is 10 points.
  • If you are unclear on what any of these features do, or how much it will cost, you can always enter the building to find out. This feature is to save time for players with large businesses who already understand what they do.
• Below the building listing is a box to "Set all actions." It has a copy of the same drop down, and will ask for expansion size or upgrade level just like the lines do. If you want all buildings to do the same thing, you can make that selection here and then click "Apply to All." In this example hitting "Apply to All" would change every building's instructions to "produce for 24 hours".
• If you want to perform one action on almost all of your buildings, one shortcut you can do is using the "Apply to All" button first, then modifying individual lines as you want.
• You must click "Lock actions in" for your instructions to take effect. If you don't lock your choices in, they will be forgotten when you leave the page.
• When you lock your actions in, the system will check to see if the farm or factory is busy. If it isn't, the instructions will be carried out immediately. If the building is busy, that instruction will be saved for when it finishes.

Question: I am making Bread, and have several different qualities of Flour in my warehouse. Which one will get used? Whenever the farm or factory starts, it will take the lowest quality of which you have enough. For example: Suppose your warehouse has: Quantity Product Quality Appeal 250 Flour 1 500 Flour 2 1000 Flour 3 and you are starting three factories, each of which will need 200 Flour. The first factory will start, see that there is enough Q1, and use that. The second factory will see that there is only 50 flour left of Q1, and use Q2. The third factory will also use Q2. After all 3 start, this is what will be left in your warehouse Quantity Product Quality 50 Flour 1 100 Flour 2 1000 Flour 3 This allows your business to use up lower qualities first and grow over time, without "stranding" product. If you want to specifically set what quality appeal product gets used (for example, for rounding purposes) you can always enter the building and set it individually.

Raw Materials

• This is an image of the Gold controls for Raw Materials sites. Each property has a drop-down box that you can select. You can also see that two of the properties have been given names using another Gold feature.

Retail Stores

• Stores are the most complex building because each one can handle multiple slots. They are set using a multi-step system. Here are the line controls:

• This is an image of the Gold controls for Retail Stores. Each store has a drop-down box that you can select, and then other selections may appear. You can also see that two of the properties have been given names using another Gold feature.
  • Sell - When you first select "Sell" for your store it will have 3 empty checkboxes. You check the box to set what is sold there, and the will appear once you have assigned that slot. You can hold your mouse over the image to be reminded of the sale details, or click it to cancel that assignment.
  • Expand - To expand your property, select it and then enter many feet. Remember that expansions must be in 100 ft² increments. The materials (Bricks, Glass, Pipes, and Wood) will be taken automatically, starting with the lowest quality. Since expanding keeps the whole store busy, there are no checkboxes for the slots.
  • Train - Training is automatic and increases your store's training level to 100%. There are no other selections to be made and it keeps the whole store busy.
  • If you are unclear on what any of these features do, or how much it will cost, you can always enter the site to find out. This feature is to save time for players with large businesses who already understand what they do.

• Expanding or Training are rather simple, and work much like the other buildings do. Selling is more complex however because of all the choices to be made. So a control panel exists beneath the store listing, helping you to efficiently make all the decisions in order. Here is the first piece:

• Much like with the other building types, this allows you to set all buildings at once. Clicking the button will apply it to all stores. With expand you need to enter a number of feet to expand (rounded to nearest 100).
• After setting all the same, you can modify lines individually if you like.
• For Expanding and Training you can skip steps 2, 3, and 4. For now we will assume you are selling in at least one store.

• Much like you can set all stores to selling with one click, you can check all slots with one click. For convenience this tool also allows you to set the first slot at all stores, second at all stores, etc. Click it once to check all, and again to uncheck all.
• Like in step 1, you can modify your selections individually instead of setting them all the same.
• This only affects stores set to "Sell." A store that has been assigned "Expand", "Train", or "No Action" will not be affected.

• This affects only stores marked to "Sell" in step 1 and only slots that were checked in Step 2.
• Just like in any of the individual stores, you can select what product to sell and get the details here.

• The fourth step will allow you to set the selling details. Just like in an individual store, you can choose any two of Price, Quantity, and Time and the third piece will be calculated individually.
• Once you have set the sale you want, click "Set All Checked". This will replace any of the checked boxes with .

• Repeat steps 2 through 4 until all slots have a sale assigned. Remember that you can undo an assigned sale by clicking the icon.

• Once all of your changes have been made, you must click "Lock the Page in" for your instructions to take effect. If you don't lock your choices in, they will be forgotten when you leave the page.
• When you lock your actions in, the system will check to see if the land is busy. If it isn't, the instructions will be carried out immediately. If the site is busy, that instruction will be saved for when it finishes.

Question: What happens if I don't have enough of the product for my assignments? If you don't have enough, the sale won't begin. So if you have 250 units of something, and you try to sell 100 units each in 3 slots, the first 2 will start but the third will not. Question: What happens if I try to sell the wrong product in a store? Inside a store you only see the products that can be sold there, so no mistakes are possible. On the control panel though, that's not possible because you can have many different types of stores. So it is your responsibility to make sure the right product is selected. If you try to assign the wrong product (for example, a Grocery product in a Photography Studio) then the sale won't begin. Question: Is there a confirmation screen, so I know what the third value will be? For example, if I set Price and Quantity, will I get told how long it will take before the sale starts? No, there is no confirmation screen. This tool is intended to give speedy access to players who are already familiar with their business. If you aren't sure what will happen and want the chance to change your mind, we advise you to enter the store and start the sale individually. Question:My store is busy for the next 24 hours, so I schedule a sale to start tomorrow. While it is scheduled, I level up and some more competitors start selling against me. So sales are a little slower now. When the sale starts automatically, will it be calculated using the new numbers or the old ones? Sales are always calculated when they start. If the market statistics, your brand scores, or any other factor changes in the meantime, it will affect the next sale. This is another reason we can't give you a confirmation screen.
